In the gospel of Mark, Jesus passed by the Sea of Galilee. He saw two brothers throwing nets into the sea. He called to Simon and Andrew, the fishermen, to “Come, follow me.” They dropped their nets and followed Jesus. Their lives would never be the same. They would be living not for themselves but for God’s purpose. They’d be following Jesus for God’s mission which was to invite and include everyone in the great banquet of God’s kingdom. Jesus would lead them into new places to meet new people for new experiences of God’s grace.
