In Matthew 25, Jesus tells a story about a king’s return. The king lets some into his kingdom but others not. What is the difference? He welcomes those into his kingdom who gave food to eat, water to drink, welcomed the stranger, gave clothes to those in need, cared for the sick, and visited those in prison. “When you do this for the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you have done it for me.” Who does our culture see as the least, last, and lost? What are their needs? How might we care and make a difference? God’s dream for our world is full of peace and justice for all people and all of creation. Let’s be the church that lives out God’s dream!
